Information from the Choir

Last week your child/ren should have brought home a packet of lyrics for the choir's October and November field trips - in the event that they missed out, more copies are available. Please try to remember to send your child with their lyrics for use during rehearsals.

It seems that most of our choir families have access to the internet, and are able to listen to rehearsal recordings online - we will begin posting them on this blog in the next couple of days. Rehearsal recordings are usually Mrs Cavitt singing the choir's songs and giving information on how to sing them, and/or instrumental versions for the children to sing along to. Because we have limited rehearsal time (and our youngest members can't read their lyrics very well yet!) it is really helpful if you can have them on in the house or the car and help your child sing them, so that they come to rehearsal with some basics that are ready for improvement with the group. CDs will be available to students who find that they are unable to listen online - please let Mrs Cavitt know if you need a CD and we will get one to you as soon as possible.

You can also expect to hear from us this week by the preferred method of communication that you indicated on your registration forms, to make sure that we have your correct contact details - thank you for getting them in so promptly! Now that the year is underway, please check this blog at least once a week to see information that will be helpful to you - this will include advance information about field trips.
